OSAC SCHOLARSHIP ALERT: 2011 E-Application Available Now!
Early Bird Deadline: February 16, 2011

The Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC) electronic scholarship application is now available online! OSAC administers more than 400 scholarship programs for the benefit of Oregon students and families, distributing approximately $17 million in student aid annually. By filling out just one online application (E-App), students are able to match their applications to hundreds of scholarship opportunities - what could be easier than that? Please visit www.getcollegefunds.org to familiarize yourself with the website so that you can get started on your OSAC application in the coming weeks. You may even want to download a PDF copy of the E-App Workbook here to get started. Scholarship Experts "Shout It Out!" Scholarship

Scholarship Experts is offering $1,000 to students who have something they want to shout out to the world. SImply register online and submit an essay measuring 250 words or less in length that addresses the question, "If you could say one thing to the entire world at once, what would it be and why?" Tivoli Audio 10th Anniversary Design Challenge

Attention graphic designers, photographers, and illustrators!! If your specialty is poster design, consider spending some time on this awesome competition. Tivoli is a world leader in the design and manufacture of table radios, and in partnership with designboom.com they are inviting designers, illustrators, and photographers to prepare a poster to celebrate their 10th Anniversary. All entries need to include an image of the new Tivoli Audio Model 10 radio and the Tivoli Audio Logo. First Prize is $3,000 and gets her/his design featured on a billboard in Times Square, Second Prize is $2,000 and Third Prize is $1,000. Click here for more details.

James Alan Cox Foundation Photojournalism Scholarship

The James Alan Cox Foundation is offering four $2,500 scholarships for student video work, and one $2,500 scholarship for student still photography with a focus on photojournalism. NANPA Janie Moore Green Photography Grant

North American Nature Photography Association offers an annual scholarship award to currently enrolled students specializing in photography. Applicants are asked tos ubmit duplicate transparencies or prints demonstrating their photographic skill and a short essay explaining what inspired you to pursue studies in Photography. Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) 2010 Student Design Competition

PAVE has released the details for their 16th Annual Student Design Competition, this year sponsored by Godiva Chocolatier. The competition has two categories: Visual Merchandising and Store Design. The competition is open to college-level students involved in retail planning/interior design/visual merchanidising and will accept individual entries only (not team entries). Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Awards

Each year, Soroptimist offers scholarship awards to women who provide the primary financial support for their family members (including children, spouse, siblings, and/or parents), who have financial need, and who are enrolled or have been accepted to an undergraduate degree program. Raise The Nation Scholarships for Single Parent Women & Dependents of Single Parent Women
Deadline: December 1, 2010
Raise The Nation is an organization that strives to provide economic support to single parent women and their dependent children who want to pursue or continue higher education. They offer two scholarships: the first is the Continuing Education Scholarship, designed for single parent women who have been denied sufficient funds to start or continue school. The second is the Child of a Single Parent Woman Scholarship, designed for children who want to start or continue higher education who are listed as dependents on their single parent mother's tax return. The Gallery Collection Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest

Have you ever received a greeting card and thought, "I could have designed that!"? Well, here's your chance! The Gallery Collection is hosting its 4th Annual Greeting Card Scholarship contest. The Gallery Collection is taking entries from graphic designers, illustrators, painters, and photographers who submit an image for the front of a greeting card - whether it be intended for a birthday, thank you, sympathy, or holiday card. Art Institute of Portland Merit Award
Application Deadline: Rolling
If you are a current or prospective student at The Art Institute of Portland who has at least a 3.0 GPA, you may be eligible to receive a 2010 Art Institute of Portland Merit Award. Merit award applications are available each spring term from your Financial Aid Officer, and awards are applied to student accounts beginning each summer term of the new academic year. Funds are limited so the earlier you apply, the better! Please contact your Financial Aid Officer if you would like to apply. To find out who your Financial Aid Officer is, please contact Student Financial Services, located on the 2nd floor or available via telephone at 503.382.4784.
