Graphic Design
Please click here for a pdf of the current STUDENT HANDBOOK!
CURRENT EVENTS
Being involved in your careers outside of class is as important as your classes; please make sure you are checking out local Portland Ad Federation (www.portlandadfed.com) and AIGA (portland.aiga.org) Events!
E-companion
(www.myeclassonline.com)
is here!
Many instructors are now using e-companion in their classes. All students should become familiar with this new resource. Not only can you download syllabi and lesson plans for your classes from here, but you can get an ongoing snapshot of how you are doing in the class by reviewing your grades! Ask your instructor about how to log-in and get started.
Welcome to Graphic Design!
YOUR PORTFOLIO
Your portfolio is the key document that will come out of your design education. It is nothing less than a collection, a visual summary of all you have been up to while learning the art and craft of graphic design.
Please be sure to keep all of your work: files, journals, sketchbooks and research notes.
Each portfolio class is designed to help you build your collection of work and improve your ability to present it. Be sure to review the PORTFOLIO PAGES to find out what you need before class begins and what will be expected of you in order to succeed.
OLS (On Line Services)
Your OLS account is your connection to our community. Please make sure you are using or forwarding your OLS email. This communication channel is what we will use to inform you about competitions, internships, lectures and breaking news. Without this connection you may find yourself out of the loop!
REGISTRATION & ADVISING
If you are in your first 4 terms at Ai your advisor is Anne Stevenson in the Advising Area; if you are in your 5th or later term you need to meet with Norton Young, Belle Bezdicek or Dale Gronso to have your schedule reviewed and approved before registration.
